from the tower in saint marko’s square in venice, you can get a beautiful view of the city down below. everything is so small, so intricate, like a miniature city. you can only begin to imagine the sheer number of people, the sheer number of stories untold down in the buildings below us.  it’s probably why it’s one of my favourite cities in the world.
