imagined or real? a grey van creeps towards the border, with the possibility of hope, and the possibility of crushing despair.

The only problem with this is that I don’t think it will stop people from using “race, color or national origin” as a “sole basis for stopping someone to ask for papers”…like I just feel like there’s that gap between law and reality. Thoughts?
